Our featured presenter will be Carol Ross, Executive Secretary of the Ohio Construction Industry Licensing Board under Ohio’s Department of Commerce. Before becoming Executive Secretary of the OCILB in 1996, Carol served for 27 years as Supervisor in the Bureau of Building Code Compliance, where she coordinated inspections for structural, electrical and plumbing inspectors and supervised administrative staff. Carol will be discussing a number of topics ranging from licensing requirements in the construction trades to the recruitment of more qualified tradespersons our state needs. Carol first visited NOBBA almost a decade ago under the leadership of former president Henry Schneps. As I recall, Carol was a wealth of important information, and I am so excited to bring her back to Cleveland from her post in Columbus.

Carol Ross serves as Executive Secretary of the Ohio Construction Industry Licensing Board (OCILB). Before she became Executive Secretary of the OCILB in 1996, Carol served for 27 years as Supervisor in the Bureau of Building Code Compliance, where she coordinated inspections for structural, electrical and plumbing inspectors and supervised administrative staff. Carol has provided outstanding customer service to Ohio’s construction industry for many years. She demonstrates a common sense approach to construction regulation while maintaining the steadfast priority of safeguarding Ohioans.
